To set a new user code, the user should press the red button, prompting two buzzer beeps and two yellow LED flashes, followed by the entry of a 3-8 digit code. The "*" key is then used to confirm the code, resulting in two more buzzer beeps and yellow LED flashes, indicating a successful code change. If the buzzer beeps four times, it signifies that the code setting was unsuccessful.

To open the lock, the user should enter their password and press the "#" key to confirm. This will trigger the buzzer to beep and the green LED to light up, with the solenoid opening for 6 seconds. If an incorrect code is entered, the buzzer will beep four times, and the yellow LED will flash four times.

In the event of three consecutive incorrect code entries, the keypad will automatically lock, releasing after 15 seconds. If the wrong code is entered three more times, the keypad will lock for 5 minutes. Repeated incorrect code attempts will result in the keypad being locked for 15 minutes, during which time it will remain locked even if the power is turned off and on again.
